My Origin Story

Like many other artists and designers, I can't remember a time when I wasn't making or creating.

A little fun fact: In high school, I took a total of 8 different art electives... and I thought maybe I was supposed to go to college for forensic science or biology? Thank goodness I got some sense knocked into me by my mom!

In my BFA program at Moore College of Art & Design, I majored in Illustration and minored in graphic design.

Career Overview

Early Days

When I was in art school, I worked a couple of unique jobs to help grow my experience. I interned at Awesome Dudes Printing and learned the ins-and-outs of screen printing. I utilized these skills to launch my own product line of handmade apparel and soft goods, which I briefly sold at markets and in an online shop to help pay for my tuition and living expenses.

At the same time, I worked part-time at the BDDW production studio. As the studio assistant, I was involved in the hands-on production of various categories of artisanal home goods. My time was primarily spent working on wall art, with a sprinkling of ceramics, furnishings, and DTG printing on apparel.

Working In-House

After finishing my BFA in 2024, I wanted to break into apparel graphics. I started as a full-time graphic design intern at FOCO, where I primarily created licensed artwork for print on demand t-shirts and other soft goods. After a few months I was brought on as a full-time graphic designer. Licensors I worked with include NFL, NBA, NHL, and other major sports leagues.

Working with licensors was good work, but I wanted to learn more. At the beginning of 2025, I began working at Overtime Sports Inc. as an in-house apparel graphics designer. At Overtime, I work with a small team to develop original apparel collections for the Overtime brand as well as other Overtime IP such as Overtime Elite and Overtime Select. I own the design process for my projects while coordinating with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure that my work is aligned with our brand voice, consumer needs, trend forecasts, and target price points/distribution channels (DTC ecommerce & select wholesale channels).

Working on a small team means that I get to explore various facets of apparel design. This includes a wide range of graphics including illustrations, typography, logos/branding, photo manipulation, and print/pattern. In addition to creating the graphics, I am also responsible for choosing certain color palettes, materials, executions/fabrications, cut lines/silhouettes, and finishes/closures. Later in the process, I tech pack all of my own work and review samples. My favorite part is seeing the product come to life in ecommerce/marketing photo shoots!
